Day 9 Preparations
Crew Chief AJ started installing the new fire system.
Day 8 Preparations
Crew Chief AJ started removing the old fire system in preparation of the new fire system that is coming. Driver Mark removed the fuel cell in preparation of the new fuel cell bladder that is being built. Team owner Bridget updated the decals with the new larger sponsor Nakama on each side.
Day 7 Preparation
Finished stickering the car, installing the Trackmate, the radios, the belts and seat. Just need to secure the bumper and give her a good cleaning. Started her up again and she was humming.
Day 6 Preparation
Installed new radiator and remaining parts. Started her up and she runs.
Day 5 Preparation
Washed, waxed and buffed the car. Started stickering the car with the required decals per World Challenge. Working on the fuel cell to make sure it meets World Challenge rule and regulations. Finishing up on installing suspension pieces.
Day 4 Preparation
MCR 77 team installed new engine and freshened up some suspension pieces. Plus installed new shift cables. Now waiting for more parts to come in.
Day 3 Preparation
MCR 77 team received parts and started to assemble engine and transmission and cleaned engine bay for install.
Day 2 Preparation
MCR 77 team started switching over engine parts to the new motor and made list of parts to order.
Day 1 Preparation
MCR 77 team began disassembly of the Mini by removing tired engine.
